There is also a 2,500 sq. ft. building to house all mechanical and electrical equipment, a pump room, operation and motor control center room, chlorine room, diesel generator room, and a bathroom. The new booster pump station included vertical turbine pumps, a recirculation pump system, discharge piping, valves, magnetic flow meters, pressure reducing valves and appurtenances to connect the new facilities to Zone 2. This project included electrical power supply equipment with a new service entrance, power monitoring and controls. Instrumentation and pump controls coordinate with the City’s SCADA system. The project also included on-site grading and drainage, paving, and two 1,250 lineal feet of 18- and 24-inch diameter water transmission mains, as well as an 8-inch diameter sewer line and a 16-inch diameter well line.
