David MacNeill, AIA
Senior Architect
With over 20 years of experience, David assists clients across Northern California and Nevada in bringing their visions to life. A graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, David earned his Bachelor of Architecture in 2005 after initially studying Architectural Engineering—an evolution that demonstrates a passion for blending technical precision with innovative design. As a former business owner, David started his own practice in 2020, leveraging years of experience in architecture and construction.
His hands-on construction experience provides him with a practical understanding of the building processes, shaping his design approach and ensuring projects are both creative and feasible. His work is rooted in collaboration, craftsmanship, and a dedication to creating spaces that harmonize with their environment while meeting each client's unique needs.
The most rewarding part of this work is transforming a client's vision into reality. At Wilson Engineers, the combined expertise of civil, structural, and surveying professionals gives me the freedom to focus creatively, transforming dreams into tangible results.
A Personal Note
David grew up in San Diego and now calls Truckee, California, home. His love for the outdoors ranges from the beach to the high desert and the mountains, embracing every adventure they bring. Unfazed by the cold, he and his wife even tied the knot in the middle of winter on Lake Tahoe. David enjoys cross-country skiing, snowboarding, camping, and fishing with his family.
