FEATURED PROJECTS

Reclaimed Water

Ocotillo ASR Wells 7-10

Chandler, AZ

Owner/Client: City of Chandler

The project consists of design and permitting of four new recharge wells at the City of Chandler’s Ocotillo Recharge Facility.  The main project components include: four new above ground ASR wells with vertical turbine pumps, compressed gas recharge flow control valves at each well, discharge piping, valves, flow meters, electrical, instrumentation and other appurtenances to connect the new wells to the existing recharge facilities.

Tumbleweed ASR Wells 9 & 10

Chandler, AZ

Owner/Client: City of Chandler

Wilson Engineers completed the design and provided construction services for nine (9) aquifer storage and recovery wells at the City’s Tumbleweed Recharge Facility between 2002 and 2013.  Due to the location of these wells in the City’s prestigious Tumbleweed Park, eight out of the nine ASR wells are located in below grade concrete vaults complete with well pump, discharge piping, Baski flow-control valve and related gas manifolds, electrical gear and sump pumps. The below grade vault setup allows the park to maintain its aesthetic appeal.   One well was located within the confines of the City’s Tumbleweed Park Maintenance Facility and therefore was designed as an above grade installation.  Each ASR well is capable of recharging between 1,000 gpm and 1,400 gpm of reclaimed water from the City of Chandler’s treatment facilities and can recover up to 1,400 gpm and discharge into the City’s reclaimed water distribution system.  In addition to the ASR Wells, the facility includes 5,000+ lineal feet of 24-inch reclaimed water line and another 5,000+ lineal feet of 16-inch purge line.
