Remote Facilities Asset Data Collection
and Condition Assessment

Wilson conducted a comprehensive data collection and condition assessment of over 14,000 assets across all 350 of the City’s Water Remote Facilities (WRFs). He coordinated with the City’s Water Asset Management (WAM) team to develop asset hierarchy data for each remote facility. Field inspections were conducted for all remote facilities, enabling each asset to receive a physical and performance condition score, which was then entered into its facility’s asset hierarchy spreadsheet. Additionally, for each WRF, documentation was compiled detailing the remote facilities staff’s input related to performance and maintenance issues, as-builts, water quarter section maps, and hundreds of photographs depicting the conditions.
The City also requested a more thorough condition assessment review of its 108 Booster Pump Station (BPS) facilities, identifying those with the highest calculated risk of failure that may require rehabilitation within the next several years. The BPS Facility Condition Assessment Program (CAP) was developed by Wilson, resulting in the creation of a BPS Current Risk Value (CRV) Analysis Model that prioritized the rehabilitation and replacement of 108 BPS facilities. The final deliverable included a Technical Memorandum that summarized the condition assessment of the BPS and recommended rehabilitation requirements for the top 30 critical BPS facilities.
