3B-B2 Pump Station

Phoenix, AZ

Owner/Client: City of Phoenix

 

Wilson Engineers provided design and construction administration/inspection services for replacing the existing 3B-B2 12 MGD capacity booster pump station. The pump station is located at the 24th Street WTP and resides immediately adjacent to an existing reservoir.  The new pump station design included four new vertical turbine can pumps, a high pressure return line, a 5,000 gallon hydropnuematic surge tank, and a new electrical building housing 4,160V equipment. 

Val Vista Transmission Main Rehabilitation Project

Phoenix, AZ

Owner/Client: City of Phoenix

Wilson Engineers provided design and construction administration/inspection services of slip-lining 5.7 miles of the 72-inch through 90-inch diameter pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP).  Steel liner pipes were used for rehabilitation of the existing PCCP. Slip-line design for rehabilitation included data collection & utility coordination, selection of access pit locations, rehabilitation structural details, identification of temporary construction easements, and preparation of detailed design drawings and technical specifications.

Lone Mountain 8A-ES1 3MG Reservoir & Zone 9A Booster Pump Station

Phoenix, AZ

Owner/Client: City of Phoenix

Wilson Engineers was selected to provide design and construction administration/inspection services which consisted of a 3-MG concrete reservoir, a Zone 9A Booster Pump Station Facility, a 5,000-gallon hydropnuematic tank, stand by generator, disinfection facility, electrical, instrumentation and controls. The Zone 9A Booster Pump Station is a 3,500 gpm vertical turbine can type pump station.

I-ES4 (42nd Place) Reservoir Rehabilitation Project

Phoenix, AZ

Owner/Client: City of Phoenix

Wilson Engineers provided design and construction administration/inspection services for the demolition of the existing 20 MG reservoir facility and installation of two new 7 MG concrete reservoirs.  The project also included a new reservoir isolation valve vault, a new chlorine recirculation pump station, disinfection by-products recirculation/aeration pump station, chlorine bulk storage facility and electrical service entrance improvements.
