Wilson reviewed the record drawings from the past two expansions at the GWRP to create plans for enhancing the electrical infrastructure and achieving the City’s goals. The records also highlighted the challenges associated with taking specific electrical panels offline. The project includes three main components: an assessment to ensure Headworks Building No. 01 is fully redundant; an evaluation of electrical and control upgrades in power centers 2, 5A, 5B, and 6; and the design of a metal canopy over the chlorine contact basins. Phase one involved evaluating the condition of the chlorine contact basin and the electrical systems. Phase two will assess system conditions and needs. Wilson will compile findings, recommendations, and cost estimates for review with the City and plant staff, guiding prioritization for further design and final implementation.
