Water Production Wells and
Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Wells

City of Phoenix - Water Production Wells & ASR Wells

Wilson provided design and construction services for four Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) wells: 304, 305, 306, and 309. Potable water from the City’s surface water treatment plants was injected into the aquifer through these wells, each equipped with a flow control valve for adjustable recharge rates. The sites included standard chlorination and dechlorination systems housed in a masonry building. The ASR well pumps were powered by motors ranging from 500 to 800 horsepower, connected to a new primary power service located within a shaded structure.
