Power System Analyst
Wilson Engineers is seeking a Power System Analyst full time position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Gather field data for creation/revision of power system study models.

Create new and modify existing electrical distribution systems in SKM and perform power system calculations and studies, including short circuit analysis, equipment evaluation, equipment coordination, and arc flash evaluation.

Generate power system studies and reports.
Education and Certifications:
-
Proficient with data gathering and modeling of electrical system in SKM Analysis software for power system studies a must.
-
Proficient and experienced in creating SKM power system models, power system studies, and reports.
-
Certificates from completing SKM-provided training classes is a plus.
Skills Required:
-
Strong ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision and report on activities to Project Manager on a regular and consistent basis.

Experience in the water/wastewater industry is a plus.
-
Good working knowledge of NFPA 70E.

Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer/Designer
Wilson Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical and Controls Engineers/Designer, for a full time position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Designing low voltage power distribution systems and lighting systems, including single-line diagrams, panel schedules, power plans, lighting plans, control schematics, block diagrams, and installation details.

Completing engineering calculations, including load summaries, breaker sizes, conduit and wire sizing, voltage drop, and fault current.

Working with construction administration, field inspection, start-up and commissioning.
Education and Certifications:
-
Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering required for Electrical Engineer position.
-
PE license in Arizona preferred for Engineer position, or undergraduate degree in electrical engineering preferred for Electrical Designer position.
Skills Required:
-
Thorough understanding of the NFPA 70E National Electrical Code.
-
Strong ability to work independently and efficiently on small to medium electrical and control system design projects.
-
Ability to read and understand P&IDs and control descriptions.
Additional Skills Preferred for Designer and Required for Engineer:
-
Proficient in the design of medium voltage power distribution systems and lighting systems.
-
Experience reviewing and interpreting power system studies. Experience modeling electrical distribution systems with SKM software a plus.

Thorough knowledge of NFPA 101 and NFPA 820.
-
Proficient in the design of P&IDs and communication network architectures.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
-
Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes NFPA 70E.

Minimum of five (5) years electrical and industrial controls engineering experience in Water/Wastewater industry.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience producing EI&C Contract Drawing packages in AutoCAD.
