Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of over 100 personnel specializing in water and wastewater engineering and construction management.

 

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Inspector with the following qualifications:

 

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience working in the Construction Industry, preferably as a Civil Construction Inspector, Field Engineer, or similar

  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar is a plus

  • Experience with the review and understanding of Construction Contract drawings and specifications

  • Experience with construction Submittals, Shop Drawings, and RFI coordination

  • Reading and understanding construction schedules, and schedule of values

  • Knowledge of construction means & methods and quality control measures, along with knowledge and experience in water/waste-water construction is a plus

  • ICC Reinforced Concrete and or AWS Certifications is a plus
     

Skills & Essential Functions:

  • Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities

  • Familiar with Microsoft Project and P6 Scheduling software a plus

  • Familiar with construction estimating software and methods a plus

Power Systems Engineer for
Short Circuit, Coordination
ARC-Flash Studies

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather field data for creation/revision of power system study models.

  • Create new and modify existing electrical distribution systems in SKM and perform power system calculations and studies, including short circuit analysis, equipment evaluation, equipment coordination, and arc flash evaluation.

  • Generate power system studies and reports.

Education and Certifications:

  • Proficient with data gathering and modeling of electrical system in SKM Analysis software for power system studies a must.

  • Proficient and experienced in creating SKM power system models, power system studies, and reports.

  • Certificates from completing SKM-provided training classes is a plus.

Skills Required:

  • Strong ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision and report on activities to Project Manager on a regular and consistent basis.

  • Experience in the water/wastewater industry is a plus.

  • Good working knowledge of NFPA 70E.

Electrical Field Inspector

Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of more than 90 personnel specializing in water and wastewater engineering and construction management. We are seeking an experienced, full time electrical inspector to work primarily in the field at various job site locations.

Responsibilities

  • Observe contractor and consultant activities during construction and provide photos and discrepancy reports as needed.

  • Observe electrical installation for good workmanship and NEC compliance.

  • Review installation versus the Contract Documents.

  • Review shop drawings and RFI submittals

  • Observe start-up and commissioning efforts.

  • Witness megger testing of power cables.

  • Witness wire continuity testing, Instrument calibration and loop check activities.

  • Perform electrical and instrumentation field data gathering.

  • Perform field verification of control panels and electrical distribution systems.

  • Keep track of the progress/schedule of all projects going on at the facilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years electrical, instrumentation and industrial controls experience, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.

  • Understanding and ability to interpret the NFPA 70 (NEC), 70E and NFPA 820 as required.

  • Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams, power plans, control schematics, conduit block diagrams, P&IDs and control descriptions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to perform work with minimal supervision.
